Shared Humanity aimes to change crucial systems in countries in extreme poverty to end generational poverty. Shared Humanity works with local stakeholders for local ownership to create sustainable change.

For example, The Gambia is one of the poorest countries in the world with an extremely poor health system. There is no University in The Gambia where students can study for a Master in Medicine. The education system must develop in order to change the health system.

One of the projects of Shared Humanity is the Al-Hayyul-Qayyum University in The Gambia where thousands of students will be educated to become among others qualified doctors to develop the health system.

Students from rural area’s of each part of the country will be given scholarships to become the catalyst of change in their village. In some villages there are too few or no schools. The main reason that Shared Humanity is building Universal Basic Education schools, for example Al-Wadud.
